Put a Ring(let) on it

Gorgeous baby doll curls added a sweet twist to the fashion-forward runways. This super blonde model gave us short and sweet with this perfectly curled short bob - and adding a girlish accessory like a tweed beret just topped off a perfect look. A good ceramic curling wand, and extra hold hair spray (like Tresemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hair Spray) are essential for pulling off these angelic coils at home.

Do Your Part

The early 90s vibe was definitely alive and well on London runway. Styles reminiscent of box top fades were seen on multiple models, each with a well placed part cut into the fro. We love the silhouette that this creates, while adding a unique shape to a well-known haircut. Keep your fresh fade moisturized with softening butter, like Miss Jessie’s Curly Buttercreme. This will moisturize and add shine, while giving your hair the structure it needs to carry this amazing style.

City Slicker

With the middle part ruling so many hairstyles, it was refreshing to see the side part make an appearance on the runway. Parted almost to the ear, and tucked behind the shoulders, this look gave a fresh frame to the model’s face while still giving us a clear view of the outfit. Using a damp smoothing brush, paired with a good holding gel like Moco de Gorila Punk Original Hair Gel, will give you a hold to make this style last throughout the day.

MILAN

Headstrong

Hair accessories are having a major moment in runway, street style and everywhere in between. While less is often more when pursuing a new trend, this is not the case with these beautiful statement headbands. This model’s carefree curls are the perfect compliment to the intricate detail of this bejeweled head piece. Back combing your hair, with a small amount of volumizer like Redken Curvaceous Wave Ahead Mousse, will give your curls the bounce they need to stand out.

Rapunzel does Runway

Long, luxurious waves made more than one showing on the Italian runways. We love the wavy side swept bang of this look, especially paired with an amazing sequined pant suit. This look incorporated sexy and subtle, with the waves in the back staying very minimal to play against the stand out bangs. Pin sections of your hair into pin curls while damp, and spray with a gloss and shine combo like Creme of Nature Argan Oil Anti-Humidity Gloss & Shine Mist. Once dry, remove pin, shake out the parts and finger style your fresh waves.

Cutting it Close

Cropped doesn’t even begin to describe the barely there cuts that graced the runway. This cut allowed the outfits to really shine, while showing how short hair can be equal parts edgy and easy-going. Glamourous lips, and perfect cheekbones were the star of this minimalist look. Maintaining a healthy and moisturized scalp is top priority for this cut - grab a light serum, like Organic Root Stimulator Fertilizing Serum, to eliminate itchy scalp and dry roots.

PARIS

Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny

Bangs have become the must-have accessory of the season. We did not see one runway that didn’t showcase some type of fringe. With bangs being so essential, micro bangs are inevitable - they were everywhere on Paris runway. This futuristic cut is completed by the short, cropped bangs that barely graze the model’s forehead. Shine is paramount for this look, grab a serum like Shea Moisture Smooth & Repair Shine Glosser to give the high shine finish need for this modern trim.

Surely Curly

Texture took over the runway in Paris, and we could not have been more thrilled! So many models rocked natural hair looks that let their stunning faces take centre stage. We saw curly short cuts with all different hair textures heading down the catwalk. Some curls were a bit more defined, while others seemed “right out of the shower” effortless. Finding a product that accentuates your natural curl pattern, like Kinky-Curly Curl Custard, will provide moisture to your curls without adding too much product buildup.

Pomp and Circumstance

Hair trends from previous decades were no stranger to European runways. We saw 80s blow outs, early 90s box top fades, and free flowing strands straight from the 70s. While on this flashback journey, seemed only fitting that we went back to the 1950s and rocked a stunning pompadour. This look grabs all attention with the placement of the up do, and the totally wearable version of this half up - half down style. Bobby pins and a no-frizz product (like Ouidad Texture Smoothing Frizz & Flyaway Fighter Spray) will give your hair the flexibility to be pinned and twisted, while giving a smooth palette to execute this cutting-edge style.
