I am going through some major life changes that are amazing but scary at the same time. Leaving the comfort of what you are used to doing to set out towards something new takes a lot of faith, and a lot of fear battling. A friend commented "wow that is so brave of you" after telling her about my hopes for the future. And I thought "brave"?? I am praying for strength and renewed faith every single morning to not just fall back in to my comfort. And I am only talk at this point - I always thought bravery was about the action, the heroic take down. She reminded me that bravery isn't just about running in to a burning building; faith is brave, trusting in the divine plan for you life (even when you can't imagine how you'll get there) is brave, taking the step even when you can't see the whole staircase is brave. This gave a whole new meaning to the t-shirt that I picked up a few weeks ago. Fortune favors the brave. Fortune normally means chance or luck; but to me, fortune is the blessings that come with walking in your purpose. And favor is defined as an act of kindness beyond what is due or expected. We are called to be strong and courageous - and as right as we know that is it can be scary to lean on faith. But when we fight that fear, grab hold of the bravery it takes to walk in faith, the blessings and kindness will be ours.
Bugs were everywhere! One had just hit me in the face...
"Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you," we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I'm fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?" Hebrews 13: 5-6 MSG
